Is PDA the same as ODD ?

My DS has been diagnosed with ADHD (4 years ago) and more recently ODD Oppositional Defiant Disorder.

Looking at threads on here it would suggest that that he has PDA Pathological Demand Avoidance - I cant find anything to breakdown the difference between ODD and PDA.

Can anyone help me clear this up ?

As I understand it ODD isn't on the autistic spectrum, but PDA is. But then ODD can often co-exist with other disorders, such as ADHD or ASD.

Thanks TotalChaos - that may explain why he has autistic tendencies but is not formally diagnosed with Autism - Its a bloomin minefield out there and in attempt to understand him a bit better I read a book about the correlation between ADHD and Autism (which just made me more confused if I am honest). I know ADHD is not officially on the spectrum but there appear to be so many similarities. I am not a huge fan of lables but they can sometimes point us in the right direction to further our own education on our DC's condition and ways we can deal with it to be supportive and access the help they need.

I appreciate your response. Thank you.
