Different roads to learning, I think silver frog said it's cheaper if you order from manufacturer. I am still trying to work out how to do that as dh off to states soon for work and I can avoid paying customs if I order it to his hotel address (smile).

It will cost you more than the clock on postage money if I am to send it to you from the U.A.E Smile.

Hey Starlight. The manufacturer is SilverliningMultimedia www.silverliningmm.com.

They quoted me $12 to ship direct from the US, so total cost is $42 (about £30?).

No distributors in the UK apparently.

Thanks for the info :) I was shocked how expensive the postage was when I looked! $42 is much more reasonable.

I took a cheap Ikea clock apart and made new hands with laminated card in two colours, I left the second hand off. It does lose a bit of time now but I correct it every morning.

I also coloured it for morning, afternoon and evening, thank you to the poster that mentioned this a while back. It is fab and ds can now understand when I say this afternoon! and is beginning to understand time concepts (all fingers crossed)

LOL, it was probably me!

This clock is.....special. It is the grade up from the Lingle Clock.

Have you seen it?

Yes (I think) but beyond our finances! Hoping we're talking about the clock with the circles on the end of the hands?

The one I have made looks pretty similar, except for my colouring!, and was a pain to make but seems to do the trick as long as I remember to check the time and adjust!

Ds can now see the hour and is beginning to pick up the minutes but it is oh so slow!

I defaced a tesco value clock to show morning, afternoon and evening - but I think I was lucky, DS "got" that which had been eluding him in about 6 weeks - I've said before how impressed I was with moondog's whole calender idea. Combined with a visual timetable it's really helped anxiety levels. If we'd needed it for longer I would deffo have invested!

As it is he now has a sense of time as it progresses through the day and we are working on telling the time with a new non abused tesco value clock.

We are 4 months into working on the calender part and progress is coming, though it's taking longer.
