It's finally happened, I've overcome my fear and started the form.

I'm up to about page 23 on the online form so doing OK but just noticed that I have to send info from professionals too.
Do I really have to do that? Can I copy everything everyone wrote for his statement?

Will it be OK if I get his LSA to write about him in section 36 rather than having to pay another visit to the paed?

Is it normal for my brain to be hurting? Grin

Sending sympathy. I was shaking and had a headache by the time I had finished it. It is horrible seeing how it all looks written down.

I sent the reports written for the statement, plus some others I had too.

Have you looked at the guide on the Cerebra site? I found it really detailed and helpful.

Finally, try and do something nice for yourself later (if there is the remotest chance ??!!)

Hi - you have my full sympathy, I finally worked up the courage to do ours last week and it was a horrible experience.

I've not heard back from them yet so have no idea if we were successful or not, but I sent copies of all dd reports from the various health professionals/therapists and got the HV to write a statement about dd disabilities.

Good luck!

I've never done it online - but I just sent photocopies of reports from the last time I'd seen anyone

the statement from someone who knows the child can be from absolutely anyone, they don't even need to be a professional, just to know the child well and be able to write about the impact the disability has on them

Can I urge you to cut and paste everything as you do it into a word doc or something. I crashed that form a couple of times. And the save didn't work for me.

Thank you everyone. Had to have a break from it so will go and do a bit more tomorrow. At least I've started it now Smile.

I have the cerebra book which is fab. I will follow your advice and stick with photocopies of everyones reports, that saves me a whole lot of work.

The online form is now a PDF file that you can save as you go along so better than the one I tried before online. Did manage to press back instead of save earlier though and lost some of it - it was so painful.

Have earned wine tonight I think!
