How come we dont get a sensory integration OT?

we don't get it either. Dd3s ot helpfully pointed out that she has severe issues in this area but there is no sensory integration therapy available here so she just does pre handwriting skills.

maybe we should all club together and have a group therapy session!

frustrating isn't the word is it angry At least here it's not available to anyone.

It's not quite the same,but ds's school have had a sensory int.therapist come in to do an IST day and I know she's been in a few times to work with the children-don't get it from the OT though-SN school

Riven: never done this myself but how about a freedom of information request about what factors they considered when deciding on that policy? Or even the name of who wrote it and when it's due for review.

If the sensory OT is NHS, your PCT commissioning department may be being wound down as of March 31st... and the new GP commissioners won't yet know they're meant to refuse to appropriate provision without reason.
