Meh, take it at face value and pride yourself on doing a better job than the so-called pro's lol.

Awesome that you've got a 1:1 you trust grin

That's her problem - not yours unless it turns out she's not actually doing anything useful about it lol

The first paed we saw said "I can see where she gets her ASD traits from" the first time she saw the comprehensive notes I had made about Dd3!!

Its a shame she didn't see enough in Dd3 to Dx her before she moved to a different LA.

Oh no, why cant things just be easy for once! At least part of it went well.

I got an email from Inclusion, meeting will not be rescheduled by the looks of things. Passing us over to the Autism Outreach team in January. The school we want to move too is closed due to snow so not able to visit, everything is on hold.

what sort of stuff do you want to do re:literacy? am sure plenty on here can advise you if SALT won't play ball. as long as nursery are happy to focus on it as well, then can't you just do it anyway?

oh dear, schools can be very determined not to deviate from phonics, Ive run across this one too. with DS - he stumbled along for year R, doing well with sight words, then finally getting blending simple c-a-t words at the end of year R, then in year R 1 he clicked with reading (I am 99% sure with memorising words by sight, judging by the mistakes he makes!), but has done so well that it's not been an issue how he reads iyswim. DS did do the Moondog endorsed wink Headsprout as well, which although based around phonics is some stunningly cleverly devised aba-ey type thing, maybe see if your DS likes that, it has 3 free trial lessons on the website.

Dont worry about me justa, was just having a moan.

I really hope you get everything back on track with both SALTs and the SENCO. Good luck and please keep me posted. x
