Fiona Slomovic is who I and several people I know have used - very good, based in London but does work all over UK and reasonably priced

justa I was just wondering the same thing Confused. FS is helping me with tribunal and I have nothing but praise for her.

I agree, this is the third thread. I and several pals of mine have used Fiona who is extremely good, well up on SEN law and half the price (as an advocate not a solicitor).

I think maybe people have different experiences sometimes and I suppose a bad experience may make you very angry.

I had not realised this thread was so old though! Perhaps someone is angry and is searching for her name and posting on the threads? I don't know.

I am keeping an open mind as I can see how things can go wrong with representatives - legal or not. I have to say I've not been massively impressed by any lawyer/advocate I've had dealings with yet and I speak as a lawyer desperate to pay for someone to take the stress off my hands!

I would recommend Fiona to anyone. She won quite tricky cases for me and several pals, without even going near the tribunal door. Just in the interests of balance!

It's a namechanger with no previous history, but it's my guess that she lost her case and blames the lawyer. Any lawyer is only as good as the case he or she represents, it's not an exact science - so good lawyers can lose too.

it is also impossible to win against some LAs. totally impossible, due to the tactics they use, and the people they have on retainer...

it is certainly somebody doing a good old trawl though, as the threads are ancient.

Well, I think we are all entitled to our opinion but that we don't want any nastiness on the board. Perhaps people are best PM ing for thoughts on these things - it's what I've done.

It's not nastiness. If someone says I would not use recommend this person, then this is neither nastiness or slating a person it is simply saying I would not recommend. The reasons are not given, if they were then perhaps this would be nastiness.
