I hate the use of that word too! also when people call others "a spacco" My friends daughter uses it and my friend always says "it doesnt have the same meaning any more!" Hmm Errrrrrrrrrr Yes it does!
Also when i was at school the unpleasent name of choice was Joey Deacon Sad

Nasty. The Americans are pioneers in disability equality but they seem a few decades behind in addressing terminology. The 'R' word springs to mind. Bleuh.

I have the inside story on this, [is there a smug emoticon?] DH is big transformers guy, he found the info on pre-order (advance publicity) and contacted them, as did lots of other friends and contacts in the toy world, Hasbro UK replied and said they did not plan to issue toy in the UK, but this came to the attention of Hasbro US, (head office) who have decided to change the name on the toy. (you are right does not have the same meaning over there.)

This is especially positive as retailers such as ToysRUs Tesco and Asda source their toys from abroad, so they could have appeared here.

Can't believe it, DH's toy obsession has born positive fruit, I will have to stop being so p'd off about it Smile
