My DD2s fabulous, amazing, compassionate, kind and wonderful 1-1 LSA at school is having a baby and thus going on maternity leave next year!

How dare she get pregnant! She's got 4 children already, how greedy to have another!!

Wink

Joking aside, apart from being over the moon for her, I am hoping that the transition to having another 1-1 goes smoothly . DD2 hates change, is very close to her current LSA and LSA totally 'gets' her. The replacement-to-be is lovely and has worked with DD2 before but not daily.

Oh well, we'll have to see how it goes, the school are great so I'm sure they'll handle it well. And her current LSA said she'll miss DD2 whilst on mat leave and can she keep in touch? So not only will DD2 keep a link with her, I'll get to snuggle a newborn Grin

hope the transition goes well, positive though that you and DD2 already know and like the replacement, hopefully the current LSA can thoroughly train up the new one!

Thank you, I hope so too anotherbrick!

Luckily they have lots of very good LSAs in the school, and hopefully current LSA will get handover time with the new one.

My son may well be starting Special School soon, and his current TA is quite emotional about it, so I know what you mean. He seems to leave a trail of broken hearts behind him one way or another.

I'm sure you're right, NS - I've no idea how I'll keep it together Blush.
