well not really but maybe the hardest part. Im not looking forard to it at all. DH is very unhappy with the preschool and their reports of DD2, saying there is nothing wrong, and we are hoping because the "specialist proffessionals" are saying there is that they hold more weight.

I know she is high functioning but so is DD1 and when she went to school it was hell on earth and i cant stand to watch DD2 go though it all, I want her to get the help she needs now.

Im just so stressed, they only gave me their reports this morning and given no chance to ask them anyhting or discuss them angry

so tomorrow doing battle is: Me, DH, SALT specialist in ASD, Special school head, 2 memebers of horrible preschool, SEN advisory teacher (who agrees with terrible preschool) and Pead!

DD2 has to have the ADOS test tomorrow too

Good luck Lisa. I really hope it goes your way. It's sad to be wishing a diagnosis on a child but I know she'll need it to get the support she needs.

Fingers crossed that the pre-school staff demonstrate their lack of knowledge of ASD and get ignored.

Will be thinking of you tomorrow. What time is the meeting?

Good luck for tomorrow - will you get the Ados results too?

yes specialist SALT will do it there and then and use it to inform assessment. Im guessing its a good sign that they are doing it as they wouldnt waste time if they werent worried.

Its 9.15 so least we are first and out the way. I know for a fact the pre school advisory lady thinks i want something to be wrong with DD2, but I know something isnt right (not wrong just different)

I fired off an email to pead listing our concerns, which she got but didnt get any other report!! shock

Well at least if Ados is 1st thing you may well be able to go into the school meeting with dx. If so then they will have to take on board dd's difficulties. Hope all goes well.

sorry, its her assessment meeting tomorrow. We will all talk while ADOS tests are done, then proffessionals all talk and then they tell us!

WEll that was crap, worst one ever.
Pead decided she needed to speak to proffessionals invovled before us as she knew there was difference of opinions. Left us waiting 45 mins, and came in with decsion made that they werent going to make dx as terrible preschool havent seen any of her behaviours at all and therefore she is functioning well and they need more time to see what the rest of us see and more imput!!

I asked how this is helpfult o DD2 and she replied that she would rather make the right dx in 6 months than a wrong one now.

She then went out and spent another 20 mins with proffessionals, brought them all in and discussed decision.

She sent all of 15 mins with us and DD2 and an hour and 15 with others!! Oh and she cancelled ADOS test until feb

Specialist SALT is going today Preschool to do check list of things they should be looking for, and they even had cheek to ask if she still needed her 5 hours one to one shock

Oh and im meant to go on a parenting course LOL thats a laugh, I run them as a living!

Im very upset as after all of this, they also told me that they dont advise DD2 starts nursery in April and if i did that they wouldnt reassess her for a year! blackmail. I now have to keep her at this crap preschool, who did not even talk to me today
