This lovely parent approached me on the playground (we're reception parents so all a bit new) and told me about what she was planning for her ds's birthday party and wanted to know how it would need to be adapted to accomodate my ds Smile. He's not been invited to any other parties this term and he's aware of it as well. I could have cried at this mum who wanted my ds to come to her childs swimming party.

Now I just have to donn a swimming costume in front of other parents Blush.

Grin and let's hope this shows the others that SN isn't catching, nor an embarrassing personal ailment

Fab! :)

My DD (ASD) had a swimming party a few weeks ago for her birthday, she loved it! Didnt need to socialise much, just splash about. She did try to remover her clothes as we got out and was a little worried when I popped a balloon (big echo) but best party yet! :)

...I made DH get as I was 'busy' with the party table so couldnt get in! Blush

That's great! My dd2 was also invited to a birthday party this weekend. I was really nervous about it but it was OK. We didn't stay for the whole thing, as it was getting a bit noisy for her after a while, but I was really pleased that the mum had included her.
