I am not championing the use of medication to manage ADHD, but someone I know is struggling to get her DS to take his medication at the moment.

Could it be mixed in with food for him to take?

My Dt2 is on equasym xl which is the slow release capsule and he takes 5mg of the immediate release tablet after school. The XL capsule should be taken whole with liquid as chewing or crushing it impacts on the slow release nature of it. However it can be opened and sprinkled on a teaspoon of soft food like stewed apple or something that doesn?t require chewing. The immediate release tablet can be broken and crushed and put in food. I don?t know about any other form of medication but I imagine the same principle applies
