So for background DS1 is almost 6, he has aspergers, epilepsy, is prone to breath holding spells, and he just started school in August last year. He missed almost 4 months of school after a breath holding and fainting spell while we waited for a 1-2-1 support worker, which we now have. He had another breath holding spell and fainting spell a few weeks ago. He breath holds at least a few times a month, it used to be multiple times a day.

I've not long recieved a copy of his 'wellbeing assessment and plan' (been asking for this since November), it is very vague and a load of crap to be honest. They have him down as not having a disability (he does!), and have 'stop breath holding' down as one of his targets. I don't agree with this, its completely involuntary and he's had these spells since the day he was born. Doctors upon doctors have said he'll grow out of it eventually. We've had all the tests under the sun, including a week in NICU because he was 8 hours old the first time it happened, and they really do seem to be just standard breath holding spells.

Anyway, I've been reading up on different types of plans and have been thinking if a CSP is the way to go. No one seems to be on the same page with his care or education, and they certainly don't seem to be listening to me about any of it. DS has involvement with educational psychologist, occupational therapist, speech and language therapist, paediatrician, neurologist and epilepsy clinic.

I don't really know where to start in applying for a CSP. The head teacher has made it clear she wont be helping because his wellbeing assessment and plan is all he needs apparently.

I feel so out of my depth with all of this.

Does anyone have a CSP that can give me advice? Or maybe any other types of plans you have? I don't even know what other ones they do! I just want what's best for DS and what's going to help his time in school the most but I honestly just feel like I'm drowning in phone calls and emails and paperwork, I don't know where to begin.
