My son has ADHD and is really struggling with his level 3 work. He's not doing A levels but BTEC. He is quite capable of doing the work but struggles with getting started and understanding what is required during tasks.
My question is are they supposed to be supported at this stage? I'm struggling with knowing where to turn.
I'm just looking at some of the work he has managed to complete and he's clearly capable. The problem is that there is very little communication between parents and schools in 6th form and most of these problems manifest after hours. I'm going to go into the school tomorrow to speak with his head of year to find out if special provision should be available for 6th formers. Or whether we have to rethink his future
