DS 8 goes to an after school club. As chocolate and sweets have an obvious effect on his behaviour, all parents have been asked to only supply "healthy""snacks. I've tried explaining that starches do exactly the same thing, and I'm at a loss what to give him that will fill him up until supper at 7 (he doesn't finish club until 6.30), but I don't think they listen.

How can I cut down his carb intake safely?

They also need to give him something quiet to do when he starts getting hyper, but that's a whole other thread. Hmm

Thanks, he's already said no to hard boiled eggs, I'll see what he thinks of your other suggestions. Grin
