SEN advocates or representation at tribunal

Our hearing is next month and it would be very helpful to have representation. I have enquired with a couple of Sen advocacy websites but no joy as yet. Any recommends will be appreciated. Thank you

Can you afford to pay? If so you might do best to go to a barrister that does direct access, like David Lawson, Fiona Scolding or Clive Rawlings.

If, as your name suggests, you're in Birmingham, you could also try Maxwell Gillott.

Thanks AFN. I have already requested a call back for DAB and it good to have some names to put to them. Have members already used any of the three named with good success?

We are using Maxwell Gillott. We have been impressed so far. Our solicitor is very thorough. Our Tribunal date is Thursday 14th and we have arranged for him to represent our son. (Our son is 21 so the appeal is being done in his name). Whether this will actually happen or not remains to be seen.
The LA has not complied with the Tribunal directive and has now been barred from attending. As they have not provided any paperwork that contradicts any of our reports, the solicitor says the Tribunal may decide on the papers alone and we will not have to attend. Watch this space...
