New child diagnosis in the extended family. However with the episodes comes fighting, spitting, scratching and screaming day and night. The child also speaks of hating the home and hating the mother but won't say why.

Social services want to do a section 47 and put the child in foster care while they investigate potential abuse or neglect. But surely this can sometimes be typical of ASD?

I read a forum online where parents were saying one after the other that their kids had been fostered out and they never got them back.

It's what they do when parents ask for support because they are clueless idiots.

For acute episodes, I would look into PANDAS/PANS. it can look like autism and come come in flares and symptoms also tick all the boxes for neglect. There is a great Facebook group called PANDAS/PANS UK that can offer advice.

Good luck.

I'd also look at PDA www.pdasociety.org.uk/

You might have a lightbulb moment
