Thank you!
I am living in Africa and my children go to an international school.
One of their friends needs speech therapy and school cannot provide it ( no therapists here at the moment)
As I am a teacher with a tiny bit of experience in sen and learning support the mum asked me in desperation to try doing some sessions. I have been researching and she had an assessment done back home. Problem is low muscle tone and he has a few tools to do exercises with his tongue, a whistle etc.
But it's not enough to give two 30 Min sessions a week. I want to set some small targets and work carefully through a programme, but not sure where best to get information! It's a minefield on the internet and such a specialism, but at the same time I feel I could learn a bit from this and help him at the same time.
I told the mum I have no previous experience of this and trying to do some research, and I'm not charging. However it would be great if I could do something helpful.

So, if you can help with specific ideas for games or point me towards some useful websites I would be most grateful.
Thanks!

Hi my dd's speech therapist used to set us activities to do from this website mommyspeechtherapy.com
It's an American site so bare that in mind when it comes to certain words/spellings which are different from the UK but it is designed by a speech therapist and has some really useful info on.

I am sure someone more experienced will come along but I used to do Mr Tongue with a small group of children

www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=51703&p=0

Also blowing bubbles with a straw, table football with straw and ping pong ball. Looking at the mouth shapes in a mirror as they said particular sounds.
