I recieved an e-mail from IPSEA today about the SEN Green paper the government recently published. Maybe I was in denial before now but I think the issues they have raised are really worrying. The whole idea of a combined education, helath and social care assessmet seems sensible - my son has been through more assessments by proffessionals than is healthy in a whole life time and he is only 12! - but the point they make re if once the assessment is completed if education, social care and health do not have to make the provision that the assessment identifies then it is worthless seems to me to be spot on. The whole experiance would be not much differnet from now. In my experiance none of "them" have to do anything slightly more than they have too!

I just completed IPSEA's on-line survey - see the website //www.ipsea.org.uk - right hand box SEN survey (sorry don't know how to post links)

What do others think? Am I being over dramatic? Seems like things are not quite what people would like us to believe.
