Best babylegs for the heat?

Any recommendations? I often use a brolly to shade us both, but sometimes it's a bit of a pain, so would rather DD (17 weeks) wore her hat (attached to the sling with a piece of velcro!!) but need something to protect her legs from the sun. I live in Spain so nothing woolly or warm...we need COOL!

Much appreciated...

I've been using a muslin, folded in half into a triangle and tucked across the sling around DS's legs. It's working ok-ish - have to keep checking it's got them covered.

Will be interested to see better ideas?

Worth bearing in mind, cheers nellyjane!

Hm. Maybe you could make a pair of loose babywearing greaves (leg-tubes) out of muslin or similar, lightly elasticated at the top to keep them on? Would that look too mad? Better than getting factor 50 all over your lovely sling, I may make some myself

Not a great one with a needle, me - but not a bad idea! She's too young for suncream at the mo' - think the recommendation is to keep them shaded/covered until 6m....

Hmm, hadn't heard that suncream recommendation, IC. Only a month to go for DS anyway.

I'm glad you asked this question as I was wondering the same thing. Our minds are obviously running along similar lines at the moment!

We did use a muslin spread across the bottom of the sling, but it wasn't really wide enough to cover both legs at once. I may have to dig out the sewing kit.
