because after braving my local slingmeet and hiring a Yamo I am completly sold on the concept and (joy!) so is DH.

But my head is a whirl of brands and styles.
I think I need a padded waist, and I think I'd quite like the shoulder straps to buckle.

But this has wiped out the cheapest (Patapum) and most popular (Ergo) options - am I backing myself uneccesarily into a niche market?
Are Babyhawk Oh Snaps really worth £95?
And where can I find them second hand (not ebay, not gumtree, naturalmamas is frankly incomprehensible)

Advise me, oh wise ones!

Thebabywearer.com has great for sale boards!

I have just had an amazing SSC custom made from here nubigo The website is a bit confusing but I just contacted the maker by email, her name is Gosia and her English is excellent....the prices are really reasonable too.

Theres a great sling forum called Natural Mamas (which also has a good for sale or trade board, largely UK sellers unlike The Babywearer which is international), quite a few of the members have recently had Nubigos made and are delighted with them - loads of reviews and stuff on the forum.

Can tell you more about it if you need but just rushing out!

The absolute best in my experience of SSCs is the Manduca. Hands down. do a search in this forum for my reasons wittering on why.

and it is cheaper than the Ergo and I BH.

yes my mate hired the Manduca

the Nubigos look ace, do the square ends of the paddded straps rub at all?

tbh I am not fussed re custom fabrics etc esp as dh will use it (I do like the idea of the Rose & Rebellion reverse-to--black ones though)
