Baby Sling - Post C-Section - Mandura? - Advice Please

Hi,
I am due to have a C-section shortly and wondering if purchasing a sling for transporting a baby is the way to go for the next few weeks?

I have never really got on with baby carriers - I am quite short in the body and baby always just seems to dangle/look big compared to the size of me but I have read that purchasing a sling might be the way to go to transport baby after C-section (pram and car seat is heavy and there is no way I could use these for a while in and out of car).

Anyone else reasonably short in the body and/or used a baby sling following a C-section?

Advice needed please x

Probably a bit late, but check out the Connecta. It doesn't have a structured waist band, so it won't put pressure on your lower abdomen post section and you can wear it as high or low as you need to fit you and baby. My 6'2" dh just wears the waist much higher on his body than me so baby is in the right place on both of us, but we both find it very comfy.

Oh! Or a Close Caboo. It's like a stretchy wrap, so super snuggly for new babies, but it is more structured and adjustable with rings, so less faff than a wrap. We rented on from a sling library for very inexpensive as they're great for tiny babies, but are grown out of fairly quickly. We were ready to move onto something else after about 4 months old.
