Is there a sling to fit my needs?!

Ok, need a new sling for 9mo and have some requirements if anyone can suggest anything please?

Needs to be compact when folded and when on, don't want a lot of material

Needs to be quick to put on and get baby in/out

Needs to be comfy for doing 45/60 mins walking in.

Have a close caboo which doesn't suit anymore and had WAY too much material for my liking

Dont mind if it's on front or back but don't want baby facing out

I think you need a buckle carrier. Try connecta, Tula, Rose and Rebellion - we walked out 91st centime DD around a European city for hours in a R&R. The buckles mean there's nothing to tie so no trailing/extra fabric.

A sling library would have a few you could try.

Brilliant thanks so much. There's a local sling library but it runs monthly and of course I've just missed one! HmmGrin

Agree with anything. Connecta is the least bulky of her suggestions.

Like the look of the connecta, any decent sites that stock it?

I got the connector after trying it at a sling library. I bought it from their own website as the second hand ones on eBay cost nearly as much! I guess that means there's resale value if you can keep it in reasonable condition.

Still comfortable for my 22mo.

Yes, Connecta's own website is a good bet. Ignore the stock levels on the site and contact them directly if there's one that you like. Secondhand ones come up for sale frequently on Babywearing FSOT and Slings and Things FSOT on trade but as sunflower says, they hold their value and secondhand is only marginally cheaper.

I used my Rose and Rebellion til DD was 2yo. I then got the toddler version which is absolutely wonderful. Makes walking 2 dogs with a 2.4yo a breeze. Highly recommend.

If you want super portable, look at a Solarweave Connecta - it's a thin UV resistant material, and hardly takes up any space :)
