Please talk to me about Little Life carriers?

I want a backpack for my husband and nearly one year old. Here are my questions:

  1. What's the leg/ hip support like in these? We have a cheap backpack that's never been used because we can't bring ourselves to hang her by her crotch. Do little lives have proper seats and, if not, what does?

  1. Which model? Do any/ all of them have sun protection 'roof' type things, and if not any other recommendations?

Erm, think that's it! Thought please!

PS, what's crucial is that she can see over his shoulders. We have ssc's, but not keen on back carries with them as she just can't see enough...

Do you mean the big hiking ones?

If so we tried the Little Life in a shop and didn't feel that sturdy, we ended up getting a Deuter Kid Comfort III and it's amazing.

Proper seat, removable cushion for naps, integrated sun cover (while some have a separate one) and adjustable back - essential for my short back and my tall husband to both feel comfortable.
Also has plenty of storage pockets and a stand that means we can put the backpack down and leave it if our daughter is napping and not disturb her (always supervised of course)

The Osprey Poco Premium was also a contender, but i think the main difference was the sun cover wasn't integrated.

With our Deuter we have done plnty of walks (up to 17k) and hill hikes and daughter is super comfortable - she is 18 months now and we have been doing it for 3 months.
She sings and points and when tired has close to 1 h naps on it...

Hi, I tried the little life ones on and replaced both rapidly on the shelf, just didn't work for me. I also tried the osprey which I liked and had a lovely back system but for some reason DD grabbed and yanked my hair the instant she went in that one but otherwise potentially great but was big storage wise it seemed. I have bought a Vaude which we both love and get on great with, she's in it at least once a day. She has fallen asleep in it so clearly comfy and it stands well on it's own and has good storage. Deuter sounds great but I didn't get to try it!
