Oh dear, DD has been front facing for months...

....in a Beco Gemini baby carrier. I have just happened to read something saying that front facing is not good, have googled more and am now aghast. I had no idea this was wrong and DD has spent up to two hours facing forward several times a week Sad.

Can anyone reassure me? I'm horrified to think I may have caused her and her spine stress.

Should add that DD is six months old and we've been front-carrying for about three months Blush. I thought she enjoyed the view Blush.

She'll be fine. At six months it's nearly time to put her in a back pack anyway.

The fact that it is marketed everywhere for that usage, and a gazillion similar models are sold every day, honestly? It's fine.

Thank you. Yes, one would hope that they would be pulled from the market f they were as terrible as my brain imagined in the wee small hours this morning.

I think a lot of the research is conjecture. That's not to say I would advocate facing out, as I do think there are downsides, but equally there are thousands of babies carried face out at the sort of age you are describing with no apparent ill effects.
