Forgive me, I don't know much about slings. My boy is 4 mths and 17lbs. He is also v wiggly! He really only likes sleeping on my lap for naps which was lovely at first but getting restrictive. I've heard moby wraps are good. I wasnt something easy with not loads of buckles etc... Thanks.

Try the moby website, also videos of people tying wraps on youtube. Definitely suitable for that age (newborn to toddler I believe). I have one and it does take a bit of perseverance to learn to tie it without looking at instructions, but then it's easy. I have used a baby bjorn as well - the wrap slings feel much more supportive of your back so more comfy. But if I have only 1 min to get ready, I use the bb! Haven't used it for naps though, I always lure them into the pram :)

Mobys are tested to toddler weights....but not necessarily comfy to that point. I run a sling library and people come to me somewhere between 4 and 12 months and say they LOVED it initially but now their baby feels too heavy. So whilst I would happily use one with a heavy-ish 4 month old I don't think I'd buy one for a heavy-ish 4 month old, if that makes sense.

Are you near a sling library or sling meet? If you can go and try some things in person that would be useful. I've lost count of the number of times I've had someone come in determined they want buckles and leave with a wrap, or vice versa...

Here - put in your postcode to find local sling libraries, meets, consultants etc www.babywearing.co.uk/localsupport/

It is still pretty new so some may be missing....otherwise google 'sling library' and your location (nearest city of county) and see what comes up

Or else ukslinglibraries.wordpress.com/ but I'm not sure that is a complete list either
