Are they legit? Prices are so good I am very tempted to buy one.

They are soooooo not legit... Just read their About Us page, it's utter nonsense!
Avoid.

I got my Ergo for a great price on Amazon from a German seller called BabyZeiten, it was a genuine one. About £65 all in I think.

Research carefully before you buy, eBay and Amazon are full of fakes.

Doh! I should have read the whole site. Not too worry, I didn't buy. Phew.A lovely friend has gifted hers to me today. It's well used but real and totally usable.

Oh f**k!
I ordered Ergo baby carrier from
ergobabycarrieruk.com
and now they're not sending me the item(its nearly 10days since i paid for it) and won't cancel my order and refund my money back...£71!!

The website is listed as a couterfeit website on official Ergo website!!

I was also thinking of ordering it from Ergobabycarrier.co.uk too...
wondered why they were all discounted...

Why o why wont official Ergo do anything about these websites if they know they are fraud??

:(

Is there anything Ergo can do, though? Apart from listing legitimate sellers and known counterfeits, as they currently do? I don't mean to sound harsh and I really hope you get your money back. I just think the whole thing might be an inevitable flipside to Ergo's impressive PR - they are 'the' known SSC brand and thus the most targeted by counterfeiters. Like uggs etc.

The trouble is with Amazon, that unl;ess the seller pays extra for a separated stock system, they all get put together so the fakers send a bunch of fakes to amazon, they are put in the warehouse under the same item code as the genuine ones and you have no idea whose you will get when you order.

This was all explained to me by an authorised stockist who no longer uses amazon to sell, because they kept getting the fake ones returned to them by their customers, when they had only supplied the real thing.

Ergo are trying constantly to shut down the fake sites but as soon as they do another springs up from China. It's a minefield.
