Toddler sling?

Can anyone suggest a good carrier for a heavy toddler?

DS is 18 months, about 32 lbs I reckon (he's 98th centile for weight and height). I've tried a Manduca, which I liked better than an Ergo, which I liked better than a Connecta. I don't think the Manduca will go to a high enough weight for me to make it worthwhile though. I've also got a toddler Patapum to try although I've not been out with it yet.

I don't do long trips, but it would be useful to be able to carry him for half an hour or so - back carries only! I'd prefer a SSC to a wrap as then DH would be prepared to carry him when we're out together.

He does like to lean out sideways to look at things so something which comes right up under his armpits is preferable - that was one of the reasons I preferred the Manduca over the Ergo.

Any other suggestions of alternatives I could try out?
