When we go back to group

Anyone heard from their Consultant about plans for returning to usual group meetings?
Wonder if it will be in July, when hospitality venues re open, with social distancing measures in place.

My consultant thinks end of year at earliest as Slimmingworld clientele are in group with higher risk of complications due to overweight/obese and lots of members with health conditions like diabetes.
Groups are still running as normal just via zoom. I'm actually liking the zoom class, no clapping so more talk about food and recipes.

Oh, maybe it depends on the vulnerability level of members attending individual groups: some members may go back sooner than others.
And perhaps the size of the venue would be a factor, too: my regular group is held in a large social club, and we sit in a circle in just the middle of the room (could be arranged within social distancing rules, which might be reduced even further).
But I've attended other groups at different venues, and some rooms are very small.

I suspect it will be an overall decison not down to individual consultants who knows. Like you say some venues better than others. Some consultants will be vulnerable too. But fact that majority of members are overweight or obese (why we joined!) puts most of their clientele in higher risk group unlike a more mixed section of the general public.

I had a text from my consultant yesterday saying it was looking like the new year before groups would be running again and did I want to sign up for the zoom group.

I’m happy doing zoom groups.

I zoomed tonight and did my painting by numbers at the same time.

She said normal groups wouldn’t be starting again for ages.

Mine said January - zoom calls just isn't my thing. I contacted head office and they refunded me my countdown straight away.

Couple of mentions of January then.
Zoom meetings are not my thing either.
I'm a long time target member, and don't need regular support, but I do miss attending meetings: for the social side of it, and hearing about new ideas.
My Consultant keeps in touch with me, and I text her my weight each week( had to buy scales, as I' ve only ever been weighed at group since I joined in 2002).

I joined last month because of the convenience of group by zoom. Our consultant also said January as a likely return to class. I'm hoping virtual class will stay as an option long term (shift worker)

My cover consultant is the Area Manager and she said they are saying 2021 before face to face meeting.
