Hope everyone is staying safe!
Looking for some advice. I’ve been doing slimming world and stuck to it all week, weighed in Friday and put on a pound and a half. Did exercise about 3 times for an hour and a walk during the week too so I’m just not sure where I’m going wrong.
I don’t eat a lot of veggies so wondering if it’s due to this as you’re supposed to have speed with each meal, I usually replace that for fruit.
Weigh in again this Friday and hoping for a loss but I just don’t know if it’s working for me!
Any help is appreciated.
Try not to stress too much. I couldn't personally exercise before I got to target as it always looked like I was 'putting' weight on but in reality it's your muscles repairing themselves, look up the whoosh effect. Trust the plan, it 100% works if followed. I didn't have a 1/3 plate of speed with every meal by any means but always kept within 10 syns (personally worked for me). I've lost 3st now and am at target

That’s good to know, I was thinking it wouldn’t work if I wasn’t eating my veggies but managed to force down some tonight haha.
Here’s hoping it’s just a bad week, think I’ve just let it get to me because I know I stuck to plan but will follow agin and hope for a loss this week. Think I definitely need to up my water intake as well.

It's always a kick in the teeth when you know you've been on plan all week and the scales don't budge but true sustained weight loss isn't linear. For example I could stick to plan all week and 'put' a 1lb on to find out it was week and then loose 3 the following week. Just make sure you're tracking all your syns etc and basically everything that goes in your mouth, you might be surprised to find out that you've actually gone over.
There's a post in this thread from me about 6 months ago asking why I wasn't loosing weight as fast as others, I was following the plan etc it honestly never looked like I'd get there at 1-2lb a week but time passes regardless and all of a sudden I was in my bubble.
Remember weight fluctuates, could be period due or something simple like that
Veggies very important - it doesn't 'count' if you eat fruit after a meal, the point is to have half a plate of veggies as that should fill you up and make you eat less of the rest of the meal? Does that make sense? Id also say eating half veggies with a meal is healthy so long term it's something to try to get used to, play around with different veggies and ways of cooking them
Thank you so much guys, really appreciate it!! You’re so right about the veggies, this week I’ve been making sure to have my homemade lentil soup and for dinner carrots with my meal. Hopefully it is a better result tomorrow.
