Writing everything down

I've just started slimming world yesterday, am I right in thinking you HAVE to write down EVERYTHING you eat? In both the book and the sheets of paper?

Yep you do. I wrote everything down for my first 6 months and lost 3st in that time.

@Groovee thank you for replying. I think that's the bit I am going to find the most challenging. I'm writing it down twice? Once in my book and then everything I've eaten on a chart on paper is that correct?

I'm only on day 2, not expecting to see a loss on the scales on Monday.

Are you writing everything down on the diary sheets (included in pack). ?I take this everywhere and fill in as I go along. Is the book the 'be delighted with your first 6 weeks?' I think the consultant likes to look at what you've eaten to check that all is ok. So fill either or in, you don't have to do it twice.

Yes that's it @cato75. I'm writing in the book the meals but the sheet that you've put a picture off what I've actually eaten. Would you be able to upload one you've written on to see if I've done it right please? Also I'm struggling with the two healthy extras. I don't drink milk or anything. So I'm only managing 1 healthy extra of 30g of cheese x

Have attached my week so far but it's not been the most exciting week food wise. I'll probably have a takeaway at the weekend and maybe another glass of wine so will work out syns needed for that.

A bit tricky if you don't drink milk for the a choice. I would probably make a nice cheeseboard or use some milk to make a hot chocolate.

@cato75 yours is nice and neat. I've had to use two days for one day to get everything written down 🤦🏻‍♀️. May redo mine as I have actually listed every ingredient. Thank you x

Can I have the cheese twice as a healthy option so instead of the 30g cheese and something else just have 60g of cheese?

I assume you can have two portions of cheese but you don’t have to use both every single day. I only have milk on my cereal and occasionally in my options hot choc. So tend to only use one per day and I’ve been averaging a 2lb weight loss per week. I’m hopefully only 2 weigh ins from target Smile

Ah right that's good then. Oh wow well done! How much have you lost if you don't mind me asking?

Only 1 stone 5lbs , I’d gone up to a size 12 after having DS and wanted to get back to size 10. A few of my family have done slimming world before and had good results. My cousin went from size 18 to a 10. Although she’s maintained at a 12 for 2 years now. In her words she loves dominos pizza too much Grin

@Tractorgirlz that's brilliant! I was 15 stone at weigh in. Dreading my first weigh in on Monday. Getting weighed today at GPS but going to ask not to tell me my weight lol.

This is the only diet I’ve ever been able to stick to because you’re never hungry and you are allowed chocolate as long as you syn it! Good luck ☘️

Yes I try save my Syns for a chocolate bar or yogurt. I actually did get my weight at the doctors and I don't think it's right. I know it's different on different scales x

I've lost 5.5st. I don't always have 2 A choices. Been at target for 20 months next week.

@Groovee that's brilliant.

The only other thing is, if you can't afford it for a few weeks so you don't go to group do you still get charged? Or do you have to re-join? Can you stop at any point?

The most you ever get charged in back fees is £14.85.

I always bought a 12 week countdown. That way I got 2 weeks free. I took my initial money out of my birthday money.

That's what I'm doing, using my birthday money to pay for the first 4 weeks. So you can leave at any point? X
