For the 2nd time I have set my target weight at 10 & 1/2 stone.. I'm 5ft 4" mid 40's & going through the menopause.. so part of me feels this is a realistic & maintainable target weight & have not only reached it but been 8lbs below it last summer.. I have 2lb to go ... however like last time I am feeling like a fraud & it's not low enough.. I know this is because of my terrible low self esteem & to be honest if I got down to 8 & 1/2 stone I'd probably still think I was fat..
How do I finish this adult life long battle with my weight & be happy when I reach a healthy weight, with a healthy BMI.. It just feels like this will continue to consume me forever... I want to get to a point where be it 10 stone or 10.5 stone I accept that for my age that's a good place to be even with wobbly bits..
Does anyone else at target still not feel like they have done enough?
I said I would give myself a year at target. I'm now at 16 months and still not sure.
Think my problem is I compare myself to others all of which are 20+ years younger..
Social media is a curse when you've such low self confidence.. think I'll keep target where it is for now hopefully get it within a week or 2 & try to still lose if I can then think about lowering it to 10 stone.. any lower which is probably the NHS guideline for my height is unattainable for me.
In the meantime I will keep doing the lottery & dream of that tummy tuck!! 🤣
The tablet will choose your lowest target weight and refuse to let it go lower. Happened to a target member at my group x
