Hi !!

Can someone please tell me what changes (if any) that you have to make when following Slimming World whilst pregnant. Not ready to tell the consultant (despite the 'confidentiality')... Yet I want to make sure I'm doing it right.

Thank you Thanks

Hi, you get one extra HexB choice so 2 of each A & B. They also will give you a letter to get signed by the midwife. It's really important to eat a balanced diet.
They gave me a pregnancy food diary. If you go on the SW website you can change it on there and then read the help and advice via the website. I'll try and find the link for you. You can add your pregnancy in settings on the website.
Hope this helps xxx

Thank you selm2701. I've been trying so hard to eat balanced but by god the sickness has had my life. I didn't think it could be so bad. If I change my online profile to 'pregnant' does this show my consultant too? We're not at the 12 weeks stage yet so I haven't mentioned it. I really appreciate your help xx Smile

My consultant was so supportive and confidential! I went early to group and had a quiet chat with her. I'm only 6w today and I told her as soon as I found out 2 weeks ago. They limit what you lose too until you get signed permission from a healthcare provider that says you can lose more. So she stopped asking me if I'd like to set a target.
I tried to attach pictures of the booklet I received, but I'm new on here so it won't let me yet 🙄 I'll try again tomorrow!

@P1x1eDu5t I don't know if it does show your consultant. Mine changed it on my profile on her system and I still had to change it on my online profile (it didn't change automatically) so would seem it's not linked, but I don't know for certain.
My sickness started this morning and I've been unable to keep anything down at all! Not even water! I am surprised how awful it is! I feel really unwell!

Congratulations ThanksSmile.

It's horrendous isn't it! Especially when you're trying to be normal.

I hope yours passes soon. I'm about 3 weeks away from the 12 week mark.

I'm going to try my very best to be on plan once the sickness goes. It's impossible atm. I'm off dairy, fatty foods/sauces (tomato), veg & salad. All I'm keeping down is plain no skin potato. Not ideal. x

@P1x1eDu5t that's really rubbish! I hope it passes soon!
I'm most nervous about going to work! No idea how I'm going to navigate it when I'm working with children, but I'll figure it out I'm sure!

I don't know if it's just my consultant (I'm sure it's not) but from the moment I told her )7 weeks) I got group free and will do right upto having baby! She is happy for me to have healthy weight loss still while pregnant I lost 16lb in my first trimester, only just started putting on weight I'm 26 weeks! And that's only because I'm not really sticking to it too much at the minute have gained 6Lb altogether.
You get 2 healthy a and two healthy b when pregnant everything else remains same xx

I definitely don't get group free and have been told to maintain.
But my consultant has finished now (she was only a temp) and they've not replaced her. I've put on 7lb as not been following at all. Would like to lose it again and a bit more really. I'm only 8 weeks.

@selm2701 ye what she did was put me to target as she said it's not fair for me to pay to inevitably put weight on eventually! I have rained myself in and will a to loose 7lb I think before I have baby as although baby growing my body can still shrink 🤣 I am 11-7 so it's not like I'm short of stores for baby and she says aslong as you healthy weight your ok to loose here and there, I had bad sickness at first which helped my weight loss massively!
I wouldn't want to promote weight loss to people who are pregnant at healthy weight but really you don't start putting on weight from baby till 20+ weeks as before that it's not even grain of rice size so I sort of expected I would gain at this point (26wk) but am quite happy with my gain , with my previous two pregnancy's I put on 3 stone but ate like a pig and started off at 10 stone so was lighter to start xx

Thank you @selm2701 & @dollytutu. Apologies I've only just seen this. Thank you for the book pictures. Yeah no one in my group gets it free either.

Just joining this thread.. I have about 1 stone to lose and I am currently 7w2d and the nausea is no joke😫 has anyone had any success of losing weight after the nausea has passed at (hopefully) 12 weeks? As I feel guilty for eating rubbish but can't stomach anything else!

I'm not pregnant so not helpful there but baked potatoes are amazing for pregnancy sickness. Take it from a veteran! You could try your HE cheese or beans with it too, although I can't say about those from a sickness aspect.
