What does your typical eating day look like?

Hello

Joined slimming world on Monday. Trying to get the hang of it all. All I’ve heard about is overnight oats! I’m going to try that tomorrow.

Can you tell me what a typical day of eating is like for you please?

Thank you

I can’t stand overnight oats!

A typical sw day for me would be:

I don’t eat breakfast.

L: wholemeal bread sandwich with 2 syns of butter, chicken, lettuce and lighter than light mayo (0.5 syns), apple, hifi bar (3syns), yoghurt (0.5 syns).

D: micro basmati rice (2 syns), mayflower curry sauce (4.5 syns), onions, mushrooms, chicken breast all mixed together.

Snacks: berries and fat free natural yoghurt.

Total of 12 syns, I don’t eat chocolate or very much of the sweet treat type things, so I tend to use my syns for my main meals.

And I have my hexA as cheese snacks as i don’t drink milk. So it may be a twisted cheese string and babybels, or some holloumi or a cheese slice if I’m making sw burgers.

Have a look here. It’s kind of trailed off now but I found it really useful and am planning on getting back on it after my holiday this week. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/slimming_world/3570423-Does-anyone-fancy-a-SW-what-have-you-eaten-today-thread

Breakfast I have scrambled eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and bacon if I have time, porridge with berries if I don't

Lunch couscous or pasta, salad, chicken and pesto mixed in mayo (syns depend on how much I use as I'd have more to coat all the pasta)

Dinner could be anything from steak & sw chips with lots of veg, chili & rice, roast dinner ect minimal syns for meals

Treat plate when the kids have gone to bed, some fruit, mikados, a yogurt some sweets, I like to save my syns for a treat at night

fruit slices for breakfast

Ryvita with marmite + low fat crisps + fruit for lunch

Typically fajita/spag bol/chilli/curry for tea

I'm vegetarian so no meat for me, and lots of carrots, nuts, lentils, beans, etc, go into my evening tea. I also only use brown rice or pasta.

Cutting out potatoes, bread, ready-made meals is the key I think. And keeping active of course.
