Aldi slim well ready meals

Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't find the answer I'm after.

I'm following SW but doing it by myself going by a friends SW lesson! Going well really.

Anywho, the weekends are a struggle (as I love a take away blush) so I've tried some of the Aldi Slim well ready meals.

Thought it may be useful to add a list in a thread for peoples reference. So far from googling I think the below is correct. Could any more be added please?

Chicken tikka - free (nicest curry out of the 3 in my opinion)
Sweet potato curry - free
Chicken saag - free
3 bean chilli - 3 syns
Pasta and meatballs - 9 syns
Chicken chow mien - 8 syns
Lasagne - ?
Vegetable biryani - ?
Smokey bbq chicken - ?

With the curry I've had the walkers sensations popadoms, feels like a nice little treat on the side for 3 syns.

Would appreciate any blanks/extras added pretty please smile

SW don't have the syns online for these meals. Your best bet would be googling or one of the Facebook groups.

@Groovee thanks for the reply. I've googled the ones I've listed above but can't seem to get an answer for the others ☹️

It might be ok to use the online syn calculator for an approximate amount.

Nothing to add but thank you for this.
I am also going it alone and it’s nice to have some options.

That's the thing I don't get. The slimming world chicken tikka is 360 calories but classed as free.... 🤔 @Groovee

You're welcome @Justanotherbadhairday I get the basic principles and ive lost weight but then with things like this i dont really understand!

I have only had a handful of the SW meals, but I add extra veg or salad with it. I tend to cook my meals from scratch.

But I've lost 5.5st and maintained that weight for 13 months.

Wow well done!! That's amazing! I do most meals from scratch but I need to feel I'm having a treat at the weekend lol! @Groovee

Anyone know any more syn values for the above please?

I count them as free, when you look at the calories and ingredients they are almost identical to SW ready meals.

The reason they don't appear on the app is because SW didn't like aldi 'copying' their branded products.

I like the sound of that! Will do some comparing! Xx

I couldn't find them in my Aldi yesterday but just realised that I didn't look in thr frozen section! Is that where they are?

Suzysleep Tue 04-Jun-19 12:53:46

I also count them as free as the ingredients are the same - it's just Slimming world being petty and not wanting people to buy them over the identical Iceland ones.

Blondeshavemorefun Thu 27-Jun-19 18:02:08

the aldi chicken tikka frozen is free ????

Sorry to bump old thread

Had the slimwell chicken chow mein today

How can it be 8 syns ?

I did the calculator and said .5

I put in noodles as free food

It’s annoying the app doesn’t show it. It shows ww stuff

hollyhope Sun 08-Nov-20 13:56:23

Blondes, does it not come up on the new scanner thing on the app, that you hold over the barcode?
I like the sound of chicken chow mein: good recommendation.

Sw won’t add any of the slim well meals as too alike to theirs

Tho cheaper lower cals and imo tastier

motherofawhirlwind Sun 08-Nov-20 19:20:05

I count as free - SW won't put them on as cheaper than theirs smile

Someone did a whole week eating just them and lost 6lbs

Blondeshavemorefun Sun 08-Nov-20 21:15:19

That’s what I thoight @motherofawhirlwind

Yet the meatballs nd chow mein show high syns

tabulahrasa Sat 28-Nov-20 00:46:23

They’re in the app now...
