SW and constipation - advice please.

I'm not new to SW, I have followed the plan several times now. This time however, I am really struggling with constipation, wind, and discomfort from feeling like my bowels are always full (even when I do manage to go).

I've not made any drastic changes to my diet, as I would always follow it for my meals anyway. My problem was sweet stuff and snacks, so these are cut down to my syn allowance. My fruit intake has increased. Water and drinks have been increased.

It's been a month since I started, and the problem has been there since the end of the first week.

I bought an OTC remedy 2 days ago and it suggests relief within 6-12 hours. Over 24 hours passed before I managed a tiny poo. I took another tablet the next night and things are still the same 24 hours later.

Can anyone offer any advice from their experience? This isn't usual for me. I would normally go every day or every other day. I'm going 5/6 days before passing a small amount. Wind is epic too 😳. It's obviously having an effect on my weight loss too which is doubly frustrating!

I've had constipation issues for a long time and take laxatives as even a high fibre diet didn't work. I try to change my healthy extras every day and find two chubby cubs lentil Dahl helps move things along.

Hot water with lemon juice in it first thing in the morning?
