Hi all, so I’ve finally bit the bullet and gone back to my local slimming world club. I’m devastated that I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been on my life. I need to loose 10 stone in a realistic world. Thinking starting a thread and having some supporters will keep me going. My weigh day is Mondays. I’ve been yo-yo dieting for 15 years and I’m fed up now. I feel unhealthy and well quite frankly just fat. Come say hi and I’d love know any tips that you have.

Hi, I've lost 5.5st.

My advice is to
write everything down.
Meal plan then shop with the list for that meal plan.
Stock up the freezer with leftovers for days you cannot be bothered.
Try new recipes, they aren't always as complicated as you think on first glance.

My favourite recipe book is the take 5 recipe book which came out last year. I make a lot from that with just 5 ingredients.

If you go off track, draw a line and start again. A lot of water and speed veggies and fruit can help,

Life is for living so have meals out, meet up with friends. Learn how food optimising fits in with your life.

My friend has lost 10st on slimming world and has kept it off for about 7 years now. She's my inspiration.

Great tips @groovee! Thanks! Where I’ve failed in the past is I’ve not been able to draw a line under it when I fall off plan, I think ahhh stuff it and carry on and then am too embarrassed for to go back to group, but I’m determined this time. Off for a healthy shop today to get me prepared.

I've lost 3 stone on slimming world and have reached my target. It was hard as I also had to go gluten free and cut out garlic half way through my journey due to medical reasons. This was on top of being dairy free and no fish/seafood. But I did it.

Like previous person i use the take 5 cookbook alot as I can easily replace ingrediants I can't eat or don't like.

I also follow pinch of nom on Facebook I love their recipes. The waffles are my go to breakfast. They also have a website and are on Instagram.

I try and save syns for the evening as that's my difficult time. My favourite treat is a big bowl with lots of berries, alpro yogurt and a crumbled meringue over the top.

Linda McCartney and quorn sausages are v low in syns and really nice. I especially like the chorizo and red pepper ones which are free i think.

There's a new tea out called biscuit brew which is absolutely delicious. Also twinings flavoured green tea are nice - salted caramel, fudge, lemon cheesecake are my favourites. Also means you don't need milk. If you are more a coffee drinker there's some syrups that are free you can put in to sweeten it so could have black.

We have a Facebook group for our group which is great to share recipes, meals or just ask for a kick up the arse!!! My favourite is the before and after pictures people share once they reach target. You dont always notice when you see people every week.

I'm doing Paul McKenna and feeling quite motivated! I've lost a few pounds since Boxing Day. My aim is to eat differently forever, I'm always about 30 pounds over my ideal weight.

@MutantDisco looking at it as a lifestyle change rather than a diet is a good change to make.
