1 stone off for New Year

I'll be 50 early in the New Year and really want to get rid of this extra stone that I have accumulated gradually over the past two years.
So, here I am, 5'4", starting weight 10'6, target 9.5 stone.
My first goal has to be to get under 10 stone as I haven't been there in aaages.
Im trying to think positive and of all the delicious things I can eat. My downfall tends to be not enough veg, and wrong snacking (things that the kids have sneak into my hand). My biggest downfall of all is the weekends when it all goes to pot with drink and meals out but I have at least 3 quieter weekends ahead so I have no excuse!
Hoping that putting the commitment here acts like group as I am really struggling to see when I could get to a group again.
Anybody care to join me?

1.stone overweight.
Currently 11 stone exactly & would like to get down to 10 which is where I feel most comfortable.
My downfall is eating to much crap ( in a nutshell ) Grin

I'm off to a reasonable start. Had two poached eggs on one slice of wholemeal for breakfast and snacked on fruit since. I have bought mushrooms and tomatoes so tomorrow's egg breakfast include 1/3 speed.
10st 5lb this morning so that is my official start weight.

But ate battered brie in a pub today.... not so good lol!

I am in! I need to loose 2 stone to fit into my favourite dress for Christmas. Today is my food shopping day so I am joining you lovely lots from today. I feel motivated and finger crossed won’t buy any crap.

I have a stone to lose by Christmas to! I was a target member but fell off the wagon during the summer and had far too much wine and food! I signed myself back up past week and I'm 1stone over target weight 😳 I actually feel much bigger.. so back to plan and back to writing it all down. So far so good this week. Weigh in day is Saturday am which I'm dreading! Good luck all x

Yes me too!
Currently 11-7 and would to get to 9-7.

I started this weekend and batched cooked some SW meals but have since failed again with too much cake.

Hopefully having people to report back to will help the motivation.

I'm going on so far, not had any crap but didn't manage 1/3 speed with a couple of meals.
Made the mistake of stepping on the scales again today - no change yet (it's been 2 whole days I tell you, why aren't I lighter yet Grin)
Patience has ndver been my strong point.
I've had 2 apples, a satsuma and some grapes today and am struggling with an inner voice that says "too much fruit, you'll never lose weight eating all that sugar".
I shall disregard her

I tend to snack on fruit, I've had a liner of grapes, 4 plums and an Apple already today 😆 not stepping on the scales until Saturday.. need to drink tons more water!! The urge to eat the kids chocolate fingers has been strong this afternoon but so far I have resisted

I've drink loads of water today, trying to get the habit as I'm not usually very good. Also I Usually get constipated on SW which is bizarre given the amount of fruit and veg I eat.
I've been ensuring I eat and drink loads which again feels counterintuitive.

I weighed this morning and was 11-10, getting scarily close to 12 stone.

Plan to drink more water today, have Home made chilli and salad for lunch and will plan dinner when home.

Water is most definitely a must. I've had boiled eggs for breakfast, one slice of whole-mil and an Apple. Trying to keep focused today as I really need to see a loss on those scales tomorrow am.

Good luck whynot. I weigh myself at home several times a week and record the weight on Wednesdays (many moons ago I went to WW on a Wednesday).
I do know that SW say you should only weigh once a week but I'm not sure that works for me (too impatient as I said)

I'm having a much better weekend than I usually do although I have had a slimline g&t and a glass of wine but the rest of the bottle has gone back in the fridge.Halo

I also opted for a g&t slimline last night instead of wine! I'm focused this weekend. I'd have like to have seen more of a loss this week but a loss is a loss so I'll take that. We are away for a wedding next weekend in Ireland so won't be at weigh in but still intend to weigh myself on the Sunday when we return. Need an extra good week this week.. so the dress fits 😆

Indeed! It's Monday and start as you mean to go on. I've already had my hifi bar for breakfast and intend to keep on track this week. Yesterday's beef roast dinner was amazing but boy did I feel I over indulged 😮 have a good week all, remember the 1stone goal.

Hi all! Can I join?!

I've followed slimming world since May 2017. I've lost 4 stone so far! I did switch to weight watchers but I felt too restricted and hungry and couldn't be bothered with the weighing and measuring! I went off plan for about a month because I thought I'd be able to do it myself without slimming world but nope, turns out I can't!

I've gained on 6lb since then :( I am really surprised it isn't more because I've been an absolute PIG! I have started afresh this week and I am on it 100% to get that 6lb straight off before I go on holiday for 3 weeks! I already feel better in myself. I'm feeling slimmer and less bloated!

Here's to another great day/week on plan! XX

Good morning all! Welcome to the new group members 🙌

I was oh so good yesterday and plan to be the same today. I had a cheeky weigh in on the home scales this morning and I'm another 2lb down already this week. Considering I made a bloody pig of myself at the weekend I'm surprised. We are off to Ireland tomorrow for a wedding at the weekend.. god help me. I'm going to be strict with myself and stay away from the wine. Wish me luck 😂
