Don't bother me. I'm still not synning them! Same as smash and spaghetti hoops.

I've never got the ' wonder 'of Muller lites. They are fat free - agreed. But they are pretty sugar laden, which imo is not good. 4g of sugar is a teaspoon. If you look on the back of any product it gives the value of things per 100g , and often per portion. Muller lites are often at least 1.5/ 2 spoons of sugar per yoghurt and sometimes on the limited flavours more. I've known people to eat 3 or more a day - because they are free. In fact they are easily adding 4.5 to 6 spoons of sugar to their diet every day and that is not something someone on a diet should be aiming for.

I think it's probably fine if you're having one a day. They were saying it's more for the people that use them loads and eat more than 5 a day!

They're nice but there's lots of other free foods to eat as well

I only ever have 2 a day

There was a woman at my class who ate a lot of muller lights. I rarely eat them but had other varieties of yoghurt which were thicker. As I got to target eating them, I don't plan to change.

Another one keeps making cheese scones with smash and not losing weight.

I only have one small fruit yoghurt a day so not worried about spending 1/2 to 1 syn on it. It’s worth it. BTW @Namethecat I think your advice on Muller lights is a little misleading. All yoghurt is generally at least 6g sugar per 100g, even natural yoghurt with nothing added to it. This is because milk contains a fair bit of the sugar lactose. I have checked several natural yoghurts out and they contain about 7g sugar per 100g. Muller light raspberry & cranberry is 7g sugar per 100g, so not too bad really.

Can I ask what yogurts do people eat? I'm not fussed on yogurts with bits in so tended to have the vanilla or banana and custard flavoured ones.

I tend to have fat free natural yoghurt or natural Greek yoghurt.

If I fancy a synned one then Danone light and free or the libertè ones are my choice.

I don't really eat them anymore but when I do have one occasionally to make overnight oats, I won't bother synning them! Same goes for the Aldi Brooklea skyr Icelandic yogurts. They've gone from being 1 syn to 2.5! I posted a thread about it but I've decided I'm just going to syn it at 1!

Ds is 15 and is 2lb away from 5 stones loss since 1st February and is really annoyed over this as he enjoys them and is super strict on syns.

I've told him the syn value is barely negligible when he only has 1 every other day/every 3 days and he's started to slightly relax over it.
He's lost so much weight so quick and the last two pounds are proving very tough so he sees anything with syns as bad at the minute even though I'm still putting a Freddo in his lunch box every other day ( which he moans about and then eats! )

Does anyone know why this changed?

@Zoflorabore your DS has done so well! Well done on the weight loss :)

And I believe the reason Muller lights are now synned is because people was eating far too many of them in one day.. I know one who munches their way through about 3 or 4 a day! And a few people have been complaining that they've not been losing weight (I am one of them), because we've been eating one too many Muller lights. They contain a lot of sugar, so it doesn't surprise me really!

Slimming World are doing this to protect everyone's weight loss. Of course everyone is different! So if you're still losing weight while consuming them, then carry on as you are! But if you find your weight loss has plateaued or you're staying the same, then you may need to look more closely at what you are eating (Muller lights for example?!) and syn it appropriately.

They're not intended to be eaten 4/5 times a day! If you're that hungry, you are far better off substituting it for something else, a jacket potato for example? Or reach for fruit instead of a yogurt. In the order it should go: Speed food first, then free food and then synned food.

Fab news on your Ds's weight loss @Zoflorabore. I found the last 8lbs the hardest to shift and it took a while. Have been at target for 28 weeks now. Found that once I hit target it kept coming off too easily but it's getting there with the maintaining.

I like the activia 0% and only 0.5dyns plus a more sensible size so I don't feel too bad having 2 a day! I do think it's a sensible move by sw as it's easy to get carried away eating free food instead of speed

I hate Mullers and have the Activia 0% fruit ones instead. I’ve still lost shed loads

@zoflorabore

They changed it to being synned for the stupid people who were eating up to 24 Mullerlights a day! They claimed they were free foods so they could but how ridiculous.

1 muller light won’t count for anything.
