Checking in to new thread. Trying not to put anything back on over the summer. I'm going to Amsterdam on Friday for 4 days. I'm worried about food choices even though I want to enjoy my holiday AngryAny tips? I've been before but ate loads of bread, chips and cheese - - bloody delicious--

WI today and I've lost 4lbs in my first week on SW, plus 1lb that I somehow managed to lose on the all inclusive holiday the week before. so 5lbs in total.

I feel shite though. Completely full of cold. To the extent that I haven't been able to sleep all night and am completely shattered. On the plus side, I have not got much appetitite but on the down side, I dont really feel motivated to be on plan. I just want a mahoosive bar of chocolate, hot water bottle and lots of vicks.

I need to do a food shop. Might order online from either Tesco or Waitrose, more likely Tesco as it's cheaper. Any food recommendations? We also have an M&S although it doesn't deliver. I find the M&S skinny burgers very nice.

I've fallen off plan - big time. Went out for my birthday last night, so wine and bad food choices. Back on tomorrow. Weigh in tues and after 4 days if behind an angel, I'm dreading it!

Weighed this morning - scales showing a lb on 😩. I've also come on this morning 🙈. Sorry TMI - so I'm hoping it's that. I didn't have a bad weekend but thought I would at least maintain xx

I've been away for a while.
My story is, I lost 5 stone last year, then my dear dad died and I've been comfort eating ever sinceBlush and put 3 stone back on.
I rejoined group in June and lost 10lb then went off the rails again. The weight goes on so quickly when I go off plan.
So here I am again,
Please give me some encouraging words Wink

still recovering from cold but managing to stay on plan even though it's hard. Can't really taste much though. Not eating as much variety as last week though, need to get to the shops and get some motivation back but as I said, can't really taste much anyway. Have placed a protein food shop order. It had better be good as have never ordered from such a place before.

Morning everyone,

I keep dipping in and out of these threads and lost you all but found this again this morning and I think I need to keep track, proper fallen off the wagon through the holidays and put on 4.5lbs the last 2 weeks but schools are back and routine is almost normal again (although I'm at home sick today!) so I NEED to get my head back in the game!

I did win woman of the year last year and was delighted so that's given me a bit of motivation.

I'm thinking of setting myself "challenges" for the next 6 weeks just to shake things up and make me refocus.

Week 1 (starting tomorrow as today should be weigh in day but I don't want to spread this bug) is to have a different B choice every day.

I started on Monday!

Eating loads and a bit worried that it's too much. And I can see myself becoming dependent on muller lights so I think I need to ration them.

I have at least 5 stone to lose (can't believe it's that much, how did this happen???).

I've lost over 5st. My dependency is on quark. I don't eat muller lights as they are too runny and trigger my reflux.

I snack on fruit and veg constantly.

Going to start Slimming World tomorrow at a brand new group - it has a male leader though... Has anyone had any experience of this? Is it intimidating at all?!
Got a decent amount to lose so here goes!

Oh really? Thats good to hear...I'm not usually quite so sexist (I even had a male midwife Grin but I just wanted to know if they still 'get it' in the same way that a female leader would.

I have had a female in the past and tbh she was a bit crap - very focused on making 'naughty' treats out of the food we could eat, rather than focussing on the healthy bits we should be enjoying. I'm really looking forward to going - kids go back to school and its 9:30am so should be ideal in terms of time!

My consultant last year was too busy caring about herself.

This one actually cares and tries his best to help. So glad he got us when she left.

I've been awful this week. I want to WI at another group just so that I don't get a horrendous shock when I go back after 3 weeks, but I forgot to bring my book! Can I just go and WI somewhere else without my book/card? I'm not sure whether to just relax while I'm away and take the hit when I get back and just do some SP weeks.

I think it is easy to follow once you get the hang of it. You need to really read the literature and commit to it.
