Stayed the same weight for months! Starting to feel disheartened

Hi everyone. I'm really hoping a few of you can help me get to the bottom of this because I am starting to lose the will to live! I started my SW journey last year in May and I have lost 4st to date. I've been yoyo-ing between 9st and 9st 6lb.

I was on plan 100% the other week and I didn't lose anything! I have just stuffed my face with everything I could find because I just feel disheartened by it all. I don't know what to do.

I am eating plenty of speed food, more protein and I've reduced my carbohydrates significantly as well but nothing has helped! I am meticulously weighing out my healthy extras and syns as well. I am having between 10-15 syns so I am not depriving myself and I drink 2-3L of water every day.

I've actually joined WW on a whim because I've heard fab reviews saying they've lost more weight on WW than SW as they get taught about portion control, but I am struggling with the points system!

Also, the fact of the matter is I don't have time to keep tracking my points all the time and measuring/weighing out things but maybe that's what I need to get this last stone off!Shock I'm sure I am not thinking straight! I do it online so I can't get help from a consultant, hence why I'm posting this on here!

Please can somebody tell me what could I possibly be doing wrong to yo yo for this long?

I dont mean tobe a kiljoy but could it be that youre a healthy wieght/BMI for your height and your body is the weight it is supposed to be. Do you ecercise, maybe the last bit is about toning
Failing that it might be worth havving a really relaxed week then go back onplan 100%.
Maybe (and im not sure if this can happen) your body has got so used to it, it needs a shock. Like i said im no expert but you do hear people struugling with the last bit.

I came on here to post something very similar.

I've been on SW since January and have lost 1st 11lbs so far. Only 3lbs to target but those 3lbs just refuse to shift. I've been stuck for weeks now. Weigh in this morning but I've just had a quick check on my scales and looks like I've gained half this week. Bloody fed up with it. I rarely come off plan and if I do I go straight back on the next day. I eat a very low carb diet as carbs just don't agree with me and make me very bloated. I have about 10 syns a day. I don't exercise ascim a single mum to two children and much as I'd like to go walking in the evenings, they are too young to leave on their own.
Starting to think I'm never going to get there!!

Well done on your weight loss! I'm very jealous. I'm desperately trying to break the 10st... I've been 10st 1/2lb for weeks Angry

I tried cutting back on carbs as I got close to target, didn't work, if anything it massively reduced the progress I made. I went back to eating how I had to lose the first few stone and found I started losing weight again. It did definitely slow as I got closer to my target weight, but then the week I got to target I lost 3 pounds.

Well done, losing 4 stone is an amazing achievement.

Unless you’re only four feet tall, you’re a healthy weight already!
I would celebrate your amazing achievement in shifting 4 stone, and just aim to maintain your current weight.

Thank you everyone for your kind replies! I am still classed as overweight as I am only 4'11" so I need to be at least 8st so that I am within the healthy BMI range and I'm still not happy where I'm at Sad

I've lost seven stone and can maintain for weeks. But I remind myself of when I used to do old red and green days. I lost most of my weight on Red days as I 'feared' Green. I had lost about 6 stone and had stuck for weeks and weeks. My consultant told me to just try a week of Green (ie plenty of baked potatoes, baked beans, rice etc). I did and I lost 7 pounds that week! I was completely gobsmacked! I think your body probably just needs a bit of a shake up - I'd try either more carb rich EE days or SP days. And remind yourself that if you are sticking for weeks that you should be great when it comes to maintaining!

Hi everyone. I just wanted to update you all! I've decided to leave Slimming World and move onto Weight Watchers. I am loving the plan so far, but I have yet to see whether I lose weight! I will find out the following Monday as I have officially started WW today. X
