How can I meal plan quicker?

It's my first week of SW so I know I'll speed up but at the moment I'm finding the meal planning really time consuming. I'm using the online meal planner but still have to work out what is free and my As and Bs, then write a massive shopping list only to realise I've only planned 2 days Confused

Does it get quicker or am I missing something?

I plan evening meals. Breakfast is porridge or eggs or fruit.

Lunches I make at home but have a variety of things I buy in.

Just plan evening meals but have sw friendly food for breakfast and lunch.

Lasagne
Nacho Feast
Chicken Caesar salad
Chick peas curry with rice
Cauliflower macaroni cheese
Salad Nicoise
Roast chicken dinner

I got a planner from wilko or somewhere cheap and I write my breakfast lunch and dinner on there. I keep each one so can refer back to it for ideas. Once you get going with SW it mostly becomes second nature. I like planning the week or so ahead so I can mix up and not have to suddenly realise I'm having chicken three times in a row... Also helps if I can see I'll need to save syns for a night out etc.

Stick with it, it'll be worth while

I spent an hour going through all the magazines, recipe books and app and wrote down all the meals we like, cut them into individual pieces and they live in a jar, every Sunday we pick out 5 meals for the week and add the ingredients to the shopping list. It's been an absolute game changer for us, I don't have to think about it!
