I'm gonna do it from home - I know this is dangerous, but I never use the website, I don't do anything other than be weighed, and so with my head down I CAN DO THIS.......starting today.

@Furball i do it from home, the weigh ins are always at rubbish times in my area, who wants to get weighed on a monday NIGHT 😩 started today, fully motivated, 5lb to lose 👊🏽

I don't work Monday and have found a local group at 10.30am. One if the reasons I went with SW over WW. Don't want to give up my evenings. Don't think I could be motivated enough to do it purely on line. I need that accountability of a weigh in every week face to face. I need to lose 2 stone, I'm the heaviest I've ever been. blush

@trinitybleu have you been on the pinch of nom website for loads of ideas? there are some really good instagram pages too. i’m making homemade lasagne with slimming world child and salad tonight. can’t wait 🤤

I've not started again but need to fully stick to plan in 2018. atm going to just focus on being really good for today, tomorrow and thursday to maintain (hopefully)/minimise the gain.

Hi All,

Please can I join? This is my first time doing slimming world, I'm doing it online opposed to going to a group, as I'm not very good with that sort of thing but I know these threads are really supportive and uplifting!

I weighed myself first thing this morning, I'm currently 12st 13 sad which is the heaviest I've ever been! Always been a size 8-10 and within the last year and a half, the weight has just crept on. After seeing a photo of myself from Christmas, I was mortified and that's made me determined to shift this weight off!

Good luck to all, we can shift this weight together!

Lumon it was photos of myself that made me realise I had put on far more weight than I should. Especally as I noticed in more recent ones I was subconsciously posing in such a way I was hiding my tummy, crossing arms over it for example, or holding a bag in front of it. I've always been a size 12 and am fast approaching a 16 now. I decided it was time to admit to it and try and do something about it.

Testarossa1 It's such a reality check! On NYE I found myself tucked away in the corner as I couldn't face being in all of the group photos as I knew they would be uploaded to social media etc. and I now have zero confidence due to my weight.

Anyway, sob story over. I started this morning off with fat free yoghurt and frozen mixed berries for breakfast, since then I've ventured to the gym (shudders) and spent an hour there. I've now come home to cook some lunch which was a fried egg (using frylight) and some baked beans. Tonight it's SW chilli with rice.

I'm feeling really motivated which is unusual for me, but I spent my entire Sunday reading old SW threads on here and I can see from other users that it has worked a treat! Hoping to see results a week today. Eeeek!

I am starting my group tomorrow so starting the plan on thursday! I have about 5 stone to lose in total.

I will be honest, I have lost count how many times I have done SW, usually losing about a stone, having a bad week and giving up. This time I plan to just keep going no matter what.

@Milliemommaof2 yes, but thanks. Have lost 2.5st previously so am being facetious grin... Need to do a SW shop and make OH and DD eat up all the crap! And do a meal plan. And buy some forbidden raisins for my porridge wink

Think I've regained all the 2.5st I lost so back to having about 12.5st to loose

Good luck with your group tomorrow. Although you've been on the plan before, it's nice to know from someone who's never done it before that you've actually lost a stone!

I'm hoping I don't give up after a week or so, I'm hoping a loss next Tuesday will keep me motivated. (Fingers crossed!)

I'll be doing it (somewhat, following the main guidelines but not really counting syns, obviously limiting my bad choices).

I weighed myself this morning, first time in a good few months after several months of battling depression and being off work and stuffing my face constantly I was appalled. I've got about 8 stone to shift. I hate myself.

Had a heart attack in 2017 - so was referred for a free few weeks by the local cardio rehab team. Waiting for my voucher in the post, then joining up soon as...

Never done slimming world before, a bit worried about "group joining" - not a people person... blush
