Mine are bloody ruined already lol I had them for a long time though! Anyone recommend a pan set that does not stick as I always use frylight?! I have a tefal aluminium one which is terrible everything sticks to it, even when I used olive oil it still stuck like crazy so I want to avoid that one if possible. Thanks x

Tefal are fantastic and Sainsbury's are usually the cheapest they are really good even when dry frying it when using fry light. 😬 x

We have a set of Circulon Hard Anodized pans that are marvellous. Rarely require any form of oil for cooking, dishwasher safe (which is essential in our household) and a good selection of pan sizes. They weren't cheap - but if you know someone who's a Costco card holder they're a bit less pricey in store!

Don't use fry light.

I use normal oil and just wipe the bottom of the pan with oil on kitchen roll.

@00100001 I know! I have tried not using Fry Light but I am a tight arse I don't want to use my syns up on just oil 😂 silly, I know. 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil is 6 syns 🤦‍♂️😑

I don't bother synning my oil.

I'm using hardly any because I just wipe the bottom of the pan. And that will be for a meal for 3-4 portions. Even if I used a whole teaspoon it would only be 2 Syns for the lot. So 1/2 syn per portion.

Frylight will ruin whatever pans you are using so you’re better off not using it in good pans. Keep your old pans for using frylight and buy new ones for everything else.

How would frylight ruin a pan?

Report
Groovee · 29/09/2017 07:27

@Trills they just go all horrible. Frylight has something in it which deteriorates the inside making it not as nice to use.

A second vote for Circulon here. I bought the Circulon infinite 2 piece set for about £50 on amazon five years ago and they still look almost brand new. They're quite heavy which has it's positives and negatives. Dishwasher safe because ain't nobody got time for washing up. I only ever use fry light and occasionally a splash of water to deglaze when frying.
