Hi recently joined and for the last three days have been in fruit and veg overload! Had a lot of speed fruits and our of curiosity jumped on scale - I'm a pound up!!
Do you think having too much fruit? In group was explained could have as much as I wanted as long as free and even better if was a speed ... im do confused. Also I have had little bites of bread to try and avoid carbs - literally a tiny bite . Am I doing this wrong? 😞

I'm relatively new to this myself. My first thoughts are:

  • You should not be having bread unless it is part of your HEB
  • Fruit, you can eat unlimited as long as half of what you eat is speed (so not bananas, mango, pineapple, etc)

Hopefully someone who knows more will be along soon

Hi @India9, the idea is to eat until you're full, so while it's unlimited', the limit should be your appetite.

Most of all, don't weigh in between weigh-ins as it takes a week to see a difference and your body will fluctuate from day to day.

Write everything you eat into a food diary for your consultant to check.

What are you using your Healthy Extra B choice on?

Those little bites of bread can add up.

You don't need to avoid carbs. You could have wholemeal bread as your hexb choice, but you could have a whole range of carbs with your meals, rice, pasta, potatoes etc. Look in your book.

Why are you avoiding carbs and having bits of bread instead? That sounds really silly.

Are you eating enough speed food! You need to make sure you have 1/3 speed food on your plate especially at meal times. I added loads of veg to my meals and I have lost 2lb, 2 stone loss so far.

And you shouldn't avoid carbohydrates.
