Am I being too hasty?

Hi all, I joined slimming world yesterday and I weighed myself this morning and I'm the exact same weight!

For breakfast yesterday I had
2 weetabix with a tiny dash of milk

Lots of fruit and lean sandwich turkey (20 cal a slice) for lunch

3 syn free sausage and beans and sw chips for tea

A banana and a 1 syn yoghurt, a little squirt of squirty cream (3 syns)

Am I being too hasty in thinking I should have lost even a lb this morning? I am ovulating and I have no thyroid problems as I lost abit of weight on Friday

Help me ladies I'm desperate to get this weight off

You thought you'd lose 1lb since yesterday.

Your are being hasty, that isn't how weigh lose works. Most people on a sensible diet will lose 1-3 pounds a week!

Keep going it will combe off but not overnight

Throw away the scales. You'll torture yourself. As hard as it is, I only get weighed at class. It's the best way for me.

The only thing I will say regarding your menu... you need some speed foods at breakfast and dinner. They help speed up your weight loss. So strawberries and raspberries in your cereal and maybe carrots with your tea.

More speed, you need to have 1/3 of your meal as speed, not added as an after thought, or a bowl of fruit after.

And throw your scales away.
Do you stay to group? You'll get a good indication of what other people are losing, 1-2lbs a week is average.

You need to eat 3500 calories less than your daily calorie need to lose 1lb..it's not going to happen in one day. I know it's hard, been through it myself many times, but be gentle on yourself and grit your teeth and the "I need to lose it all NOW" phase will pass..keep going, and you WILL lose, and you WILL get there in time.

Your body hasn't even registered that you've eaten less yet! If you want to speed it up have speed food making up at least one third of every meal ( on the plate, replacing other food, not extra!) And go for about 3 or 4 brisk 30 minute walks. It'll fall off.

I weigh my self every single day with out fail since I started slimming world and if I don't loose every day I am going to be honest I do feel gutted bits it's true an average/ healthy weight loss is about 2 lb a week so just go with the flow and enjoy eating all the different food. Personally I don't think your eating enough speed food there but like you said you just started so it will all come to you. If your like me I always gain if I eat too much fruit inbetween meals as they contain lots of natural sugars so if I get hungry inbetween meals I tend to snack at baby corn and sugar snap peas with ham or beef so it's worth a think about lots of fruit lol xx

It is too soon to expect results, give it a week. Also, you need veg or salad, not just fruit as your speed foods.
