Where did sausage-gate end up? How many syns in a porky light?

I fell off plan in April so caught the start of the saga but don't know how it finished. What is the chat on porky lights now?

They're still not on the SW database as their tests were inconclusive.

Asda extra special light and lean sausages are only 0.5 syns each, and absolutely lovely. So much nicer than porky lights.

After sausage gate they have reassessed the syn value of many sausages.

Porky lights still not on the database.

Can anyone tell me which, if any veggie sausages are syn free or low syn please.? Need to do a slimming world friendly shop tomorrow.

I usually have the cauldron ones,- Lincolnshire or Cumberland. I suspect that they are not low syn though.

What are the slimming world sausages like. Anyone tried them?

Slimming World HQ decided that they would quite like some extra money, so added syns to lots of their competitors products. The nutritional information didn't change overnight!
From what I remember Linda McCartney's onion and rosemary ones are free, as are the quorn low fat ones. (Although they might have had syns slapped on them too...)
The slimming world brand sausages are ok, better chopped up in a pasta sauce than as proper sausages.

Anyone know how Asda Slimzone-gate ended too please?

Still nothing on syns online and all I can find is a fb page with a statement a few months back from SW saying some syns, but I bought two today and not sure what the situation is?

Think it was agreed they wouldn't be added to the database.

That's a shame they see it like that, nothing wrong with a bit of healthy competition.

I shall take these two meal I bought as free as google suggests they released a statement with advice on. I never have more than a handful of syns daily anyway as I don't eat "treat" foods, so it'll be ok

They withdrew all the slim zone stuff, and rebranded it without the SW quote.

Thanks for the info about the sausages. I have some of the onion & rosemary L mc cartney sausages already in my freezer, so good to know those are free.
I believe the normal limda Mc cartney ones are just one syn so that' s good.
Good to know the frozen quorn ones are free.

Interesting about the slimzone controversy. . A friend of mine who attends class (I don't) was telling me a few months back, that lots of people were asking about the meals in class, and the leader was very reluctant to talk about them.

Her line was that only the Slimming World ready meals were allowed on plan , and the other meals were not considered legit. obviously she was following the party lineHmm

One of the reasons I decided not to spend money going to to a class was party informed by attitudes like this. I also can't stand all the pushing of their food at meetings.
