Hi all!
I started slimming world 3 weeks ago and I'm sticking at it well, but I need some fresh ideas for desserts!
I currently just tend to have fruit with muller light yoghurts, but I'm getting really bored with them! What do other people have?
I love chocolate and all the things I shouldn't be having! But I am determined to stick at this. I have treated myself to the odd freddo for five syns, but it's not cutting it!
Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't mind saving syns during the day to have something that isn't a muller light!

Merringues are very good on slimming world. You can replace some of the sugar with sweetner too. I used to make batches of merringue kisses and they were a fraction of a syn each. I'd dip the base in chocolate too and that made then 1/2 syn.

Tesco do tubs of ready made mini meringues from memory they were 1 syn each. Serve with fresh berries and low fat fromage frais.

I also used to make a wine glass dessert of satsuma peeled and choped, choc n orange muller light and a chopped up choc n orange hi fi bar. It made a big dessert.

Have you tried overnight oats pancakes? 4oz oats, 300ml fat free yogurt or a muller, leave for a few hours or overnight. When ready to use mix in an egg, heat a heavy based frying pan spray with frylight/ oil, cook the mixture in batches spooning a generous tablespoon for each pancake. Lovely served with sliced banana drizzled with honey. Honey being the only syn and quite low. They reheat well in the microwave as one batch does quite a few.

Oh wow! Thank you for the great ideas!
The oats pancakes sound really good! And the chocolate dipped meringues. Grin
I just don't want to fall off the wagon! DP just text asking what I want for tea tonight and my first thought was not another bloody muller! Grin

Sorry, no suggestions, but wondered if anyone had the recipe for the yoghurt jelly? It was a few years ago when I did slimming world, and they bad the recipe on their website, but sadly no more. It was basically mixing pots of orange muller yoghurt into jelly and then setting it. Itwas really nice.

I'll be honest, I try to skip "dessert" at home .... just in an attempt to break the habit. I had to do that for a while.

But when I do .... I break up a meringue or two, throw in some fruit, top with some Choc Shot.

A friend has Quark mixed with a dribble of Baileys!

Banana icecream. Freeze a ripe banana, pop in a blender with a splash of low fat milk/soya/almond milk. Blitz and it will take up the texture of icecream. It is delicious

littlemiss this sounds like it but raspberry instead of orange, you can easily make the switches if you particularly want a orange flavoured one

If you can't see pick I'll write it out Smile

I used to make jelly with hot water then add yoghurt instead of cold water. Very yummy.

Any idea why the jelly is 1/2 syn? The ingredients look free to me!

I'm a fan of having a square of dark chocolate if I need something sweet that is satisfying and not addictive

Buy a huge tub of Quark, and some Options or similar low calorie hot chocolate drinks....the white chocolate one was the best. Dissolve it in a couple of teaspoons of boiling water, then mix well with the Quark and set in a glass, adding in layers of raspberries/strawberries. Tastes like cheesecake and makes a lovely summer pud. Think Quark used to be free and the Options either 1 or 2 syns. It's been a few years since I did it but I still make the pudding Grin

lego I'm new to slimming world so just checked on the jelly, it's 2 syns per 11g sachet

jane is it nice? I've seen it in the book and bought the quark to make it but can't quite get over the hurdle in my head that it's chocolate flavoured cheese

Since I discovered quark with a bit of sweetener! It's really nice.

If you like ice cream try Oppo ice cream- it has sweetener instead of sugar and it's gorgeous- 65g (1/5 of a tub) is only 4 syns. If only a whole tub will do Waitrose do a lovely chocolate frozen yogurt only 15 syns for the whole tub Smile
