Stuck at the same bloody weight

Been bang on plan. Loads of speed food. Loads of water. Around 6 syns per day. No rice or pasta or spuds as I don't eat these anyway.

Yet the fucking scales haven't shifted all bloody week.

What am I doing wrong? Or is this normal?

I've lost 3 stone with sw but plateaued for weeks.

I'm now doing a version of sw5:2 where I fast for 2 days a week and I lost 5LBS last week!!

I've lost 19lbs. I have another 2 stone to go to target (god that sounds like so much sad).

I'm hoping this is just a plateau that I will eventually overcome but it's so disheartening when you're really on plan and the stupid scales don't reflect it whatsoever.

Sometimes you have a sts. It sucks. Hopefully the following week you'll have a bigger loss.

I had a plateau at about 20lb. It was about three weeks of half a pound loss, sts, etc.

I'm now back to losing a pound and a half to two and a half pound a week which is my usual rate, so was just a blip. No idea why though!

I did have to do a mental reset and sort of treat it like my first week - that seemed to do the trick. Think I got a bit stuck in a rut.

Fb group called sw5:2 making diets work for you.

I fasted for 2 days on 500 calories and eat sw style the rest of it but count my calories.

Yes - you plateau, because basically your BMR has changed. Don't give up. Also you might find that during your monthly cycle you will struggle. I do - every four weeks I maintain or put on! then Aunt Flo makes an appearance,a nd it all come off again smile

A few things you can do though:

~ Check your portion sizes
~ Look at your snacks, can you make changes there? e.g. if you're having (say) 2 x Muller Lights a day as an am and pm snack, that is around 200 calories, but 2 x apples would be around 100. So see if you can swap out snacks for things like carrot sticks, fish sticks etc
~ Keep to 1/3+ Speed on your plate (see image for clarity)
~ Drink more

Also - over time, your weight loss will even out to around 1-2lb a week smile

The first fe weeks will be dramatic (say 3-5 a week) and then it might go to 0.5lb... 1lb...0lb...2lb etc.

as long as the trend is downwards, you're doing fine smile
