What facilities do you have? I often take leftovers and heat them up in microwave. Soup - could heat at home and take in a flask if you don't have a microwave. Ryvita and laughing cow (a and b choices). Rice or pasta salad.

We have a microwave but a short lunch break and everyone is in lunch at the same time. Ideally I would like some thing I can eat while working.

The only thing I can think of couscous with frozen veg and chickpea and/or chicken.

I will get home about 4.30/4.45 and will need to make dinner to my Velcro baby for 5 so I am batching cooking meals in advance.

some of the Kabuto noodle/rice pots and the Itsu chicken noodle pots have low syn values and you just pour water on. Check on the SW website, Syns Online,

Sainsbury's do a lovely syn free chicken laksa noodle pot. I have them for my lunch at work at least once a week. Much, much nicer than mugshots and really filling.

I love the idea of the prawn, advacado and lentil salad. Do you know how many syns are in half an advacado?

Half an avocado is 7 syns.

You could use a food flask to keep stuff warm so you don't have to use the microwave. I used to take a lot of soup to work in one.

I have tuna pasta a lot for lunch. Pasta, tuna, peas and low fat mayo. Or pasta and peas cooked together then add a cheese triangle or some cheese spread and chopped up ham. These can be eaten cold too.

DD has one of these and says her lunch is still hot after 5 hours ... its not huge but she has Mugshots, cous cous (half pack of Ainsley plus 100ml water), cuppa soups etc. and it's big enough for them.
