We are all hiding in here, away from the hot cross buns and Easter eggs.

Welcome all, old and new.

Well done to all the people who are sticking to plan and/or losing!

Well at the end of my first week at target, I have put half a lb on so I am exactly on target. More than a little surprised as I was away for the weekend which consisted of being in a pub with my sister - beer and then wine but I did choose the healthiest, most on plan food in the pub. I surprise myself sometimes.

But that was after a lunch of Indonesian curry and lots of free samples of lovely food and drink at the Ideal Home Exhibition!

And then when I got home I couldn't be bothered to cook so we had a takeaway curry. But we only had one between us - something I would never have considered pre-SW and no naan either! And THEN my husband suggested a gig in a local pub - so more beer!

And I may have had a hot cross bun today. With butter.

So there is no way I deserved only a half a lb gain - I bet it catches up with me next week so I must really watch it this week. Luckily me and my husband don't do Easter Eggs for each other so just need to stay off the booze!

Well done all you that have lost and thanks for the new thread.

Absolutely pissed off here. 2 bloody massive lbs ON!!! I did Not deserve that!! I have not been brilliant this week, but I have not been bad, either. On Saturday I met a friend for a meal and asked for a salmon salad with no salad dressing and when it came it was laden with dressing, but I didn't want to cause a fuss, so I ate it! Been kicking myself ever since. That would not have accounted for all of the 2lb gain, though. Just eaten a bar of oreo chocolate because I am so annoyed! Blush
Line is drawn and I am back on it as of now. I will have a better week and lose that pesky 2lb. Angry

Hello all,

I have my first weigh in tomorrow, I'm so nervous! I've done slimming world before from home with mixed results, but the is the first time going to group which was a big deal for me.

We're going to the Harry Potter studio tour on Saturday, staying over Friday night before and I'm fretting about what I'll eat while I'm away. I feel like a total idiot, but I am so determined not to fail this time. Hopefully I will make good decisions and with all the walking I'm expecting to do will still have a loss at next weeks weigh in!

Welcome newbies.

PA, there is nothing more frustration that a gain when you don't deserve it. Hope it's off with more next week.

Nicely done Ali, that's the way to stay in target, enjoy life but make better choices. I'm hoping I can do the same when I eventually reach there.

Well done owlina brilliant loss.

@Positive it's gutting when you gain some people can have a day off and not gain I honestly can't even have a meal off without gaining so it doesn't seem fair.

Lost 1.5lb taking me to a wee half pound short of my 2st award!

Just home from Burlesque! Wow it was brilliant. Really great and I managed most of it despite going the wrong ways etc 😂. Roll on next week.

Signing into the new thread. Thanks Lemony and well done on your loss. Well done to other losers too and hello to all newbs.
Strict week chez Groove this week after last week's holiday and being off plan. Hoping 6 days of no/few syns plus exercise will help to reduce the damage at class on Thursday. We shall see...

Marking my spot, struggling to keep up.

PA that sucks, I'm sorry. Hope it's better next week.

Might have had a moment in my local shop today, checked if a certain cereal was HEB and did a fist pump when I realised it was! Grin

I love hot cross buns, my office buddy and I recently ate our way round all the major supermarket offerings in a scientific experiment to find the top bun.

This is one of the (many) reasons I joined SW last week.

BTW the winner was Waitress (closely followed by Co -op luxury).

Report
isaulte · 11/04/2017 23:14

Waitrose! Not Waitress!

Report
BasinHaircut · 12/04/2017 06:56

Good to know isalute!

I might grab some Waitrose ones and stick them in the freezer, and save them for a couple of weeks. Want to try and lose 3-3.5lbs this month and already have loads of stuff going on that is stopping me so going to avoid Easter stuff if I can for now.

Good news, the Thursday weigh in I thought was morning is actually evening so won't show me a false loss! Am planning to do thursdays for the rest of April I think as weekends are going to be tricky and so Mondays will probably not be good!
